Library Cafe

1. Convenient spot to buy refreshments and snacks, coffee, or any to-go food when you’re at the Hartley Library.

   The actual opening hours is 8AM to 4PM, not 10PM as stated on Google Maps. They do close pretty early so don’t expect any late night snacks here.

2. Suffers from most of the same problems that every other food outlet on Southampton’s Highfield Campus suffers from: poor quality, overpriced food, and service that ranges from outright apathetic to openly hostile. In my experience the only place on campus that the above doesn’t apply to is the Avenue Campus cafe. The staff there are fantastic.

3. The staff is always incredibly rude, they always look tired and annoyed by the customers. The place is small, always busy and only sometimes clean. The prices are really high for a university cafe for both the food and coffee. You can get better food, service and price just by going to Sainsbury’s or something. Also really small selection of products.

4. Always no Frappuccino,don’t know it’s sold out or just don’t have it anymore.
   Besides the male stuff just literally rolling his eye on me just because i can’t heard his weak voice. So why don’t you speak louder ？！

5. The staff are UNBELIEVABLY rude. They don’t even try to be mildly polite. Sarcastic comments and glares are only a few examples of the actions of the staff.
   Also the food is sub-par, and to make it worse it’s so expensive…
