  1. Probably my favourite part about my trip to Edinburgh. So close to where I was staying the staff were so so friendly. The brownie was absolutely delicious and coffee made well & of course the cats were absolutely adorable. It’s a very calm place to be in and so nice to be around people who love cats as much as you. I would highly recommend and will definitely go back anytime I’m in Edinburgh.

  2. Maison de Moggy is a must-visit every time I go to Edinburgh. The cats are so special and the owners and staff are truly devoted to their care and best interests. Everything I’ve ever ordered from the cafe has been delicious, made with unique recipes and high-quality ingredients. I recommend Maison de Moggy to everyone I know traveling to Edinburgh, and I look forward to my next visit!

  3. The place is clean with no unpleasant smell. Cats are gorgeous and the girls who serve are amicable. However, the cats are not quite sociable and most of them are sleeping. I am getting a sense that they are sedated..but I do hope not. I didn’t feel quite engaged and really enjoyed my time after the black cat coco attempted to bite me for warning-I only started to pat her head. At other cat cafes I’ve been to, the cats would normally come to you and enjoy your pat, which wouldn’t make you feel nervous or anything. Since I am a cat person, I totally understand that every cat has their own personality. So I just suggest that if you are looking for a really engaging and interactive experience with cats, you might want to consider somewhere else, or at least, don’t book afternoon slots? But if you’re only up to watch the cats sleeping and enjoy your coffee, recommend.

  4. My daughter loves cat so we booked and went. Not sure about the place. The ladies in charge were a little like strict matrons. You were being told to do all the time, come in, stop here, sit here, take your shoes off, it as reminiscent of an army drill. In the end we just wanted to stroke the cats! Nevertheless my daughter enjoyed it and that was my goal. But a chill pill may be needed.

  5. 8 amazing cats, we would have loved to stay a wee bit longer (max stay is 1 hour only) Some of the cats were sleeping whilst we were there but enjoyed the experience still. We loved how some of them were really at ease, pretty chill despite having a lot of people around most especially Coco 🫶🏻
