Mandarin Palace

1. They cook very slowly. Tom yum soup is similar to it, but definitely not the same. Boiled dumplings are not tasty. We waited an hour for a kid’s hot dog (just a bun and a sausage) and chips. The prawns were tasteless, the chef apparently has his own opinion on the types of frying meat, the steak is tough, the chips and mushrooms were so hot that it burned my mouth

2. Sorry to say, very poor experience here. Arrived 6.45, placed drinks and order 6.55, had starter at 7.05.. all seemed good…. 7.20/30, I chased.. then 7.45, food finally arrived.. what a wait…other tables served before us. Plenty of staff ambling around but could not get eye contact with anyone. Was offered onion rings as an apology, and a drink, which never arrived. Passed on the onion rings.

   Final staff member was apologetic and offered a discount next time, there will be no next time.

   Honestly, a long standing establishment like this, 1989, dinner for me and my daughter £61, not value for money and overall poor experience…sorry to post negative review, hope others don’t experience that…

3. Very expensive. Myself and 3 kids got 3 meals and an extra plain noodle and it cost over £80
   And small quantity. My local is half the price and twice as nice.

4. £50 for 2 course meal for 2 and 2 drinks, value for money it was good. The food was very quick to come out, but was far too sweet for our liking.

5. Massive portions, great prices, and good service.
