Maru London

1. Unbelievably good omakase sushi experience, comparable to dining in Japan. The specialty of Maru is aged ingredients, and the fact that they source and process them locally makes for a fantastic blend of UK/European and Japanese approaches. Above all, the cooking and service team are absolute stars – approachable, friendly, funny, yet dead serious about their craft. Take the other reviews that make negative remarks about the staff with a huge grain of salt, as I could not fault them a single bit. Will be returning as often as I can.

2. We had a lovely dinner and the food was delicious 😋 nice and welcoming stuff. The only downside is the tea paring was too light, not flavourful enough.

3. Went for sushi omakase lunch, it was an incredible experience! Not only was every bite interesting and delicious, but the staff of Maru made it an unforgettable experience.
   They were all so friendly and welcoming, and it was a joy to watch the preparation of the food.
   I think I will have to come back to London someday to try the dinner!

4. Been to Maru in two occasions this month (January, 2024). The food quality and service were very consistent and the hospitality truly inspired me. All dishes were flawless and each of their tastes was well balanced.

   Both the lunch and dinner omakase were splendid and impressive. All the staff were very accommodating and welcoming. The secluding location and the interior design (especially the basement) had added certain bonus points to the overall experience.

   Will definitely come again to try the other menus in another month 😊

5. The 20 course Kaiseki is perfectly balanced with innovation and tradition. Thanks Yasu and the team for the wonderful experience.
