Great experience- Maurizio was engaging and helpful and helped me to build a meal the perfect size for dining on my own. One of their chefs was training out front and very helpful and ending as well. Wine was lovely, past was perfectly cooked, sauce was flavourful. I think the only possible improvement was the tomatoes in the caprese- not the rich, deep red I’d like to see but the accompanying buffalo mozzarella was soft and melt in your mouth. Excellent!
Clean, cute bathroom with some humour and a bit of positive affirmation too- lovely touch.
When I later met Sweet, we had an amazing chat. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Cambridge. 7 out of 5 for atmosphere 🍷
I was browsing Mill Road for dinner on a Friday night and the delicious aromas of pizza made me pause and look at the menu.
I was initially thinking of takeaway as I was a solo diner. Mansata the waitress kindly brought me into the restaurant and gave me some chilled water and table to decide what to choose.
I decided upon the beef ragù pappardelle to takeaway. The menu is quite extensive – there is lots to choose from pizza, pasta and salads. Everything is made on site.
Then after some consideration I decided to dine in and I’m glad I did, Mansata brought me to a window seat and the pasta was quick and did not disappoint. I had a Rataouille moment where I felt transported to Italy with the pasta. The beef mince was very tender and flavoursome. The pasta was one of the best I’ve tasted.
Thank you to the chefs for bringing your authentic Italian expertise to Cambridge. Thank you to Mansata for your positive energy and warm hearted service – I probably would have missed out on the opportunity to try this delicious food without your amiable guidance.
Highly recommend for authentic Italian food, friendly service and comfortable solo dining.
Excellent Service, Authentic Pizza….
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by staff, and throughout the meal, Lois our server, provided top-notch customer service. She was incredibly attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed and ensuring our dining experience was perfect.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the pizza. It transported me back to Italy with its authentic taste and flavour. The secret, I believe, lies in the fresh ingredients they use, which make every bite a burst of deliciousness. I am already craving another visit to savour that mouth-watering pizza again!.
The only minor inconvenience we encountered was the lack of an on-site car park, as the restaurant is situated in the high street. However, this was quickly resolved as we discovered off-street and other nearby lanes offering convenient parking options.
Simply excellent!
The pizza was the best I have eaten in the UK so far. The tomato sauce is not the standard British sauce (which tastes horribly in a pizza), they prepare it freshly every day and one (at least, an italian person ;)) can really taste the difference. The dough is also well prepared.
The tiramisù was the best I have ever eaten! Although I was already super full after the pizza, I don’t regret that I ordered it!
The owner, Maurizio, is such a nice person, he goes around the tables and make sure that everything is good. The atmosphere is super nice.
Highly recommended!
Me and my husband waited 45 mins for two margherita pizzas, olives and green salad. We ordered sparkling water which wasnt available at the restaurant. We ordered at 19:00 and there was no food until second waitress noticed asked us whether we ordered and told her 40 mins ago. The pizza came burnt not charred, nothing special. Tomato sauce is too thick. (tasting too puree like) The salad and olives was ok. The second waitress was nice enough to deduct service charge and apologised from us.
