  1. I expected this to be a local steak house, as it was recommended by several people in the town, but it was very much like a chain steakhouse, such as Applebee’s or Chilis. They copied some of the same menu items from other chains (house salad exactly like Texas Roadhouse, bread sticks exactly like Olive Garden, Jack Daniels chicken exactly like TGIFridays, etc) but it was a bit pricey for a chain restaurant food. The steaks did not come with anything at all and you had to pay extra for everything – including butter. It was $2.00 each for onions, peppers, mushrooms, butter, steak sauce, etc. In the end it’s like a $50 steak but from a Chilis. I was definitely disappointed. To buy a reasonably priced dinner, I did the chicken breast dinner and paid $2.00 extra for Jack Daniels sauce. It was excellent. The cheddar mashed potatoes side (that were raved about by our waitress) were not very good at all, just a dry lump of potatoes. My friend chose the Cesar salad as her side and it came out looking like the exact same garden salad we all had (tomatoes, red onion, shredded cheddar on top) with Cesar dressing. We pointed this out to the waiter and she apologized and then came back with the exact same salad, minus the tomatoes LOL. So it was a Cesar salad you had to pay extra for, but it wasn’t a Cesar salad at all. The nachos were terrible, with soggy peppers on top. Overall, I was super disappointed and would not eat here again.

  2. They went from Awesome to awful in just a few months. Fantastic steaks. My favorite was the garlic tenderloin which they no longer have and the tenderloins they do have now are just tasteless and nasty. I really don’t want to say anything bad but this is at very least, upsetting and disappointing. Maverick’s was my favorite for a long time and I was probably there at least 3 times a week, Now, not so much. I guess they don’t need my 750 a week…? I’d rather eat out of the Taco Bell dumpster. Atmosphere and service are pretty good, the steaks suck… Even doing steak on the stone myself didn’t make the steak taste much better. The mashed potatoes always taste a little different as well and there is no more Campfire burger… I haven’t been back for probably around 2 years now. Just wanted to update my experience in case things have changed or it helped someone decide where they want to eat.

  3. First time at the Aberdeen location-Atmosphere was nice definitely good place to hang out and enjoy a meal. Service was incredible (bartender with the beard-thank you 🤘) however, my fries were soggy from the juice of the steak, my dinner roll was hard and as you can see in the pictures, I received a rotten tomato in my salad. 🤦‍♀️ on a positive note, the steak was delicious. However, the rest of the meal was sadly tossed. For a $40 meal I was definitely let down.

  4. Staff was very helpful and she always made sure my group of 20 customers had everything we needed, all the while she was training a new employee! I’m a big guy and has a huge appetite, but that pulled pork platter made me get a to go box for the first time in my life! Will gladly eat there again. Huge facility with easy parking and several different seating options!

  5. I had lunch at Maverick yesterday, and while the ambiance was delightful, I found the food to be somewhat average, especially the ribeye steak, which lacked flavor. However, the standout dish for me was the potato – it was truly exceptional. They also offer an impressive selection of beers, making it a great spot for beer enthusiasts.
