This was our first time dining at Miller & Carter. I cook a good steak at home so wasn’t too sure about this being able to beat it.
Service – spot on! Our host Ann was brilliant. Attentive and efficient with service, this seems to have been lost in many places these days. She enhanced our dining experience and works hard. Brilliant customer service.
Food – top notch. We had the lunch two courses with calamari and halloumi fries, followed by the 7oz rump medium rare with peppercorn sauce. Delicious!
We are really glad to have come for lunch and look forward to returning for an evening dining treat.
Don’t hesitate in visiting if you love steak and good service, you won’t be disappointed.
Lovely restaurant, well laid out tables, attentive staff, and 1st class food! It’s not the cheapest place but somewhere you might go for a celebration or impress! I had 3 courses but wish I’d forgon the starters! By the end of the night I thought I was going to explode! Excellent evening and will definitely go again.
My wife and I visited Miller and Carter for the first time this evening, and we were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience from start to finish.
Upon entering, we were greeted with a warm welcome that instantly made us feel at ease. The service throughout the evening was exceptional, with all of the staff being friendly, polite, and incredibly attentive. It was clear that they genuinely cared about making our dining experience memorable.
The food was simply outstanding. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. The steak, in particular, was a highlight—it was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. It’s clear that Miller and Carter take great pride in their food, and it really shows.
Although it is a steakhouse, the restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Beyond the steaks, there are delicious options like burgers, ribs, and other grilled specialities, catering to a range of tastes. The extensive selection of beers and wines also means there’s something for everyone, whether you’re looking for the perfect pairing with your meal or simply a drink to enjoy on its own.
We were seated in a private, cosy booth near the open kitchen, which added to the intimate and comfortable feel of the evening. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between formal and relaxed, making it an ideal spot for both special occasions and casual dinners.
Overall, I highly recommend Miller and Carter to anyone looking for a unique and delightful restaurant experience. Whether you’re a steak lover or just looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a welcoming setting, this place has something to offer everyone. We will definitely be returning.
Was staying next door at the Premier Inn and popped in here for dinner.
I ordered x2 beer and a sirloin steak. I eat lots of steak on my travels and this was one of the tastiest I’ve had. I always like to eat medium rare, so ordering rare means that (from experience) it comes back roughly as you hope. The salad was lovely but the bowl was so slow, it was awkward to reach and eat it with a steak knife.
The chicken wings were forgetful, as was the cutlery and napkins as I wasn’t provided with any. I was sitting in the bar area where tables were not set. About £60 overall.
I decided to treat myself to a special lunch for my birthday. Everything was lovely and I had a wonderful meal. Just a one thing though, the air conditioning was a bit cold and I felt a bit chilly during my meal.
