Morgans Bistro & Cocktail Bar

1. Place for drinks only.
   I have visited this establishment several times. I usually only ordered drinks. But once I made a mistake by deciding to have dinner with friends in this place. One of the glasses on our table was very dirty, we asked to replace it. The food was terrible, and the steak was completely undercooked. Instead of medium rare, they brought a piece of almost raw meat. When we pointed this out, we were offered to take the steak, take it to the kitchen, and finish cooking it. There was no talk of replacing the dish. The rice in my friend’s dish was undercooked. So the decoration of the hall is beautiful, the drinks are good, but I do not recommend dining there.

2. Really enjoyable evening. Food was premium and loved the nod to the local suppliers in the menu. Staff were attentive and helpful when we had trouble picking from the extensive menu. The steak was very tasty and had a good portion of sides included in the cost. We will be back!

3. Prebooked a table for food and drinks and ended up seated on the high tables with stools. Asked if we could have a booth (there were 2 booths free the whole time we were there) and was told point blank no.
   Food was lovely (I chose rissoto) and was asked what type of potato I wanted, i.e., chips or jacket potato. I thought that was a strange think to ask.
   Won’t rush back as the service wasn’t the best.

4. Really nicely designed restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Lots of classic French options including snails, frogs legs and onion soup. Four veggie mains, so something for most tastes. It would be nice to see some more vegetables on the sides menu. Good addition to the Bridgend food scene.

5. Absolutely fantastic meal, everything was so tasty. Cocktails were great, staff were lovely. Can’t wait to go back!
