Nando’s Oxford – Cowley Road

1. Sorry to say I was pretty disappointed after all the hype and recommendations. Tried to get into Nando’s Lemington Spa the night before but they stopped taking tables 2 full hours before closing. So I thought it must be amazing. But at this one it was confusing trying to get a seat, then our table was so wobbly we had to move. Our drink glasses were not brought to us (were we supposed to get them ourselves?) They didn’t have diet Fanta even though it was listed on the menu, the corn was so overcooked (and dry) I didn’t even eat it, and the wings were pretty bland. They were neither dry with a nice crisp skin, nor covered in sauce. The skin was just kind of mushy and they were not even as good as making them at home on the grill. I might try a different location because several people swore we had to eat here. I did appreciate the sink for washing off hands.

2. I ordered to collect my food, but it was really busy in there and the food wasn’t ready. However, during the wait, the employees were great in constantly updating me on how the food it going, and were generally very kind even if they would’ve been very tired from a late busy night. My order came 10 minutes late, but an employee called Lola was very apologetic and sincere that I couldn’t complain. The atmosphere was great and the food is banging too. Keep it up 👊

   Went to the Cowley Rd branch Saturday night got there 20:00 joined a que a small party (4) and a couple was told that as soon as a table would be available we would be seated.. So we waited and waited and waited.. After 1.30 hours we were seated..I went up to make an order.. And was told that the whole Chickens were sold out then was offered a boneless platter..I said ok as we had waited such a long time and was very hungry.. Then was told that they didn’t have that either…
   The manager had absolutely no people skills whatsoever and just did not care, I have never experienced this level of arrogant behavior before..
   I was extremely angry that the staff did not tell us that they had no food left but made us wait possibly with the knowledge that stocks were depleted… The waiter took email address and said that the manager would call… No call…I went on to x and sent a message… No response..
   Be weary of Cowley Road Nandos and the very incompetent manager and staff at this particular restaurant

4. i came to the restaurant 2-3 weeks ago and just wanted say i service provided by hannah was amazing! her presence was welcoming, and is a very lovely girl! And ofc the food itself was wonderful. thank you for your amazing service Hannah!!!!

5. First of all it was claimed on the website that all chicken meals where out of stock and then Manager Giovanni was very inconsiderate when making inappropriate comments to us three girls when ordering our food and drinks. ID was asked for and happily provided however this didn’t seem enough for Giovanni. He returned to our table questioning us and apologising for how he reacted and then refused to accept that he made an error. It has ruined the atmosphere of the night and I won’t be returning. Not very customer service focused very company focused
