Absolutely love neighbourhood coffee roasters. Really smooth non bitter beans. I have had a number of Ethiopian coffees over the year from NCR and have enjoyed each cup. Strongly recommend. If you can time an order with a promotion you’ll find BOGOF deals throughout the year. Well worth it.
Photos attached. The coffee in cup and press is the Kenya – I like big cups and I cannot lie. This blend is incredible smooth, like most African coffees, it delivered rich flavours without that after taste / bitterness of your commercial high street brews. Stunning. The Ethiopian blend as well is another cracked, sourced from the Guji area, it delivers that great complex taste and incredible smoothness with none of back taste.
If your new to coffee or looking for that unique blend, I would always time and time again go to Ethiopian coffees. Try and look for anything that’s been picked from the Yirgacheffe or Sidamo area. The coffee in this region is sublime, especially Yirga. These are the oldest coffee trees in the world and grow wild at high altitudes, removing the acidity and giving more depth of flavour.
If NCR are listening, The Chelelektu washing station in the Yirgacheffe region. The coffee I had once before was out of this world. It’s very rare to find these beans.
Delivered coffee to this Roasters this morning and they have presented me with one for a good start of the day. What I can say, it’s just incredible flavour and taste. Bought 2 packs for my partner. Definitely recommend!
Really good coffee- I ordered the variety bundle for about 30 quid not a single disappointment from any of them- decaf was particularly good for a decaf. Free delivery on the order which was nice. Will definitely return at some point for another order and would confidently recommended to anyone looking to try a new roaster
Long story short. I bought a sage barista pro coffee machine which was defective (the thermojet did not work) and have not received a refund for a £655 purchase. I’ve received customer service and support at a level far below what I would have expected.
Neighbourhood had told me they would arrange collection of the machine and arrange a refund when the machine arrived with them once sage had confirmed it was defective.
When sage did confirm this they asked me to send the machine to them by tracked delivery (at cost to myself) which I did.
The machine went missing with the courier at which point I was told I would not be given a refund. I started a claim through paypal.
Once they received the paypal request they contacted me asking me to wait and see if the machine turned up which it eventually did over a month later. The parcel arrived just before the timeframe to escalate the paypal case expired. I did not escalate the case as I presumed I would be refunded now the package had arrived. Several days later after sending a few emails neighbourhood informed me the package had been received but the product had been damaged to an extent they would not be able to provide a refund and to seek compensation from the courier. The courier paid out the maximum they do (£300) which left me £350 out of pocket. Since informing neighbourhood of this they have ignored my emails. I’ve given them every chance to redeem themselves before writing this review but after almost 6 months since the purchase enough is enough.
These guys and gals deliver delicious coffee for a very reasonabe price, especially considering the quality of the beans. The brewing equipment and accessories are good quality and well priced too. Sprinkled with outstanding service and a great sense of humour.
