The service was impeccable from start to finish. Our server was gracious and accommodating, ensuring every aspect of our lunch experience was perfect with her excellent accommodation and recommendations . I’m so sorry I don’t remember her name . We would come back just for the service if anything. But the great news is every dish she recommends is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!! The ambiance of this restaurant is second to none. Whether dining indoors or al fresco on the deck view , you will be surrounded by beauty and charm of the ocean deck ; ocean ; the boats ; the canoe. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal in style. Fine lunching , truly!
Nobu is an exceptional dining experience! The Japanese-inspired dishes are not only beautifully designed but packed with incredible flavors. I had the black cod, which was absolutely divine, and the date cake for dessert was the perfect sweet ending. While the portions are on the smaller side, every bite is a masterpiece. The service was also top-notch, making it a memorable experience. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a treat-yourself night!
We ran a private dining event on the upstairs terrace. We had hors d’oeuvre and a drinks reception whilst the sun was setting over the harbour, which was fantastic followed by a seated dinner. The space is fully heated via the multiple ceiling heaters, and you don’t feel any of the cold. The dinner was 8 courses of exceptional food expertly prepared by the chefs. The services on the night were outstanding, and our group was waited on hand and foot. There is valet parking available outside the restaurant from 5 pm, or you can park yourself in Lido Village car park, which can be validated in Nobu, and you can get the first hour free. I’d highly recommend you visit Nobu if you’re in the area, you won’t be disappointed.
My son got to check off one item off his bucket list. I got to say that even though it’s not my jam, the sushi was pretty good for the most part. Steak was better. But the atmosphere and the staff were pretty cool and this after all was my old stomping ground used to be a nightclub back in the ’90s.
Nobu in Newport is a total gem! First off, they offer valet, which is a lifesaver when parking in Balboa—such a nice perk. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning, and the views of the marina are just breathtaking. It’s the perfect spot for a special night out. The food was beyond phenomenal, and the service was top-notch. We were sitting outside on the balcony, and when it got a little chilly, our server brought us these cozy blankets. Talk about a nice touch! We ordered the miso soup, edamame, California roll, and gyoza—everything was fabulous! Honestly, the only downside was that we didn’t spot any celebrities! 😂 If you’re in Newport, this place is a must-visit!
