Cute little restaurant with a rotating menu. It has a mix of small and “large” plates to choose from, but as you can see from the photos, even most of the “large” plates are on the small side. What I can definitely say is that they are all packed with flavour. Really enjoyed the squid and the cod (both large), and the Guinness cake.
Some downsides of the restaurant were that it lacked atmosphere, there was no music or any ambient noise playing so it got really loud. Also, too many tables for the space so it’s packed with people.
Cocktails were disappointing. All of them are premixed and you can see the waiter just pouring them over ice. We tried a few, but the only ones which were actually decent were the margaritas.
We had a lovely meal and a nice time, and I recommend people visit, but there’s anything that special in particular that would make me want a second visit.
The PLACE for a real foodie in London.
Great service and atmosphere. Love the aubergine so much. The black garlic sauce for the scallop sausage and cod roes on potato bread were a bit heavier than I expected but otherwise everything else was in perfect balance. Would come back to try other things on the menu.
Criminally good! The crudo and squid were to die for – two of the best dishes I’ve had all year. Amazing drinks. 10/10 service and great value all around.
Impeccable service! Impeccable atmosphere! Impeccable food! Went to this restaurant with a good friend of mine visiting the UK, and this meal was a great way to mark the occasion. Our server Emilia, was attentive and passionate. The crudo and the aubergine were brilliant in particular.
food is good. surprisingly light. nothing was overwhelming. nothing made me feel like I’ve got a reason to go back. but for what we’ve had and the price, it was worth it.
wine selection needs an update.
fried fish bun was nice. my favorite was their version of Paella which had the sukarat (burnt part of the rice). desserts were nice too but was missing a “hard” (dry) dessert while they only have creamy/moussy/ice cream. like a puff pastry/cake.
