Panera Bread

1. Food is generally good, there are always some inconsistencies in fast food that are expected. Service at this location is usually fast and even if you use the kiosk the front end person greets you and asks if you need any assistance. Very welcoming atmosphere. Not a fan of the terrible music in the lobby though.

2. I know in 2024 everything is expensive, but this place is a bit extreme. $33 to feed myself and a small child is kind of crazy for what I still consider to be fast food. $9 for a bowl of soup that probably just comes in a giant bag and the workers just heat it up? There also isn’t many options for a child and you usually just end up paying adult prices. This tipping culture in America has gotten out of control, especially since service has gone down, pushing self checkouts everywhere. Corporations just want to subsidize workers lower pay and keep their greedy pockets full. I did give them 2 stars because their food is pretty good, im just not sure i can afford to go there too often.

3. Ordered the Mediterranean Bowl for myself and food for the family to go and got home and opened this. If you want to know what the actual Mediterranean Bowl should look like go on the Panera website menu to see. Not only was the bowl completely missing any lettuce or greens as is listed in the ingredients the contents of the bowl barely touched the rim. I’m supposed to pay 11.95 for the full price of a bowl while your employees skimp and raje short cuts and stick it to customers. I can not tell you how furious I am with this location. If you are a chain and carry a name then take some damn pride in that name and make and package food that is consist with the Panera name and consistent with each visit. I have come here for years and this is the last straw. I’ve had sandwiches be given to me made to two bread ends. Other sandwiches made missing lettuce., missing feta. Smoothies missing. Your staff can’t seriously be this inept or you just honestly don’t care. The inconsistency is staggering. When you pick up your food the employees don’t even acknowledge you. I’d say I’d return and during my next purchase open up all my food in front of them like the children they are working inside but that isn’t worth my stress. Id rather drive the 9 miles to Wyomissing from now on so I know I will at least get food in the quality and quantity that is supposed to be known by Panera. Your location is a stain on the Panera name

4. Good food, good bread. The steak sandwhich was tasty and not overly “mayoed” as has been the case before. Baja mac and cheese was fresh and good. The avacado tasted good and had a good consistancy. I chose their house made fountain drinks and was pleasantly surprised not missing the over saturation of sugar in them. The area was clean and the person who greeted us was pleasant and helped with good advice. Good experience and most importantly the food tasted good and fresh. Family friendly, and good for assorted ventures from being thirsty to being hungry. Outdoor seating availible in the warmer months. Bathrooms weren’t as clean as they could have been but not terrible either. Recommended for those who travel with or without a purpose.

5. I love the broccoli cheddar soup and mac and cheese here and don’t typically have any issues. However, went through the drive thru tonight and imagine my surprise when I get home and the mac and cheese is only 1/2 full. Really disappointed, Panera.
