Papillon

1. Really enjoyed the cocktails here, and especially those made by the barman off-menu at our request! Really characterful venue, if a little quiet (although we did visit in early October). Wouldn’t hesitate to pop in again.

2. Papillon is a great place to go for food and drink. We were eating before a performance in the Mayflower opposite which meant we were more sensitive with time than usual. Whether it was people with the same plan or just to have a drink on a Friday the place was packed. They were clearly understaffed and overworked causing the initial service to be slow. Despite this, after ordering our food it came very quickly and was utterly delicious. Atmosphere was good in the converted church.

3. Randomly stopped here because it looked cool. Was very pleasantly surprised that not only did it have amazing atmosphere (ask about the curved beams on the 2nd floor) but one of best bars ever. Alex, our bartender made some of the best cocktails I’ve had and was just super friendly! Would definitely recommend

4. We booked for early evening dinner on a Saturday and we’re seated upstairs. The venue is really lovely, a beautiful conversion of a church, and the food and service we received was excellent and exceeded our expectations. My Pork Belly dish was perfect, in fact I can’t recall a better one anywhere else. The accompanying mash was silky smooth. Well done chef whoever you are! A similarly well executed gammon for husband. Service was slick and friendly. Highly recommended

5. We had our wedding at Papillon and…wow! Everything was absolutely perfect! The staff (especially Daniel and Louie) were so friendly and great at communicating. The food was amazing, drinks were great and everyone said how incredible the venue looked! Best day of our lives!
