Posh Fish

1. What a superb experience ! The boss lady is very good at what she does and whips everyone into shape. The restaurant and shop is immaculate with lovely hand painted artwork and decor. Comfy seating and quality furniture. The large fish a chip meal is humongous! 2 fillets battered together is my guess. Huge and very good value for nowadays. Lovely experience thank you team.

2. Hugely over priced. £14.50 for a haddock. Third visit. Only once has it been good. Cod not at all nice. Why inflate portion size? Just provide quality and normal portions. Staff said it is expensive to run an independent shop. So how does that quantify them being more expensive than anywhere else I have been in last few months? Picture shows leftovers I couldn’t eat!

3. Bones! On the expensive side when it comes to fish and chips however the portion sizes are generous. First time sitting in and when we have ordered before we have found fish bones in our fish, 3 or 4 every time. Thinking it was just bad luck the times we had take-out. However when we visited we found the fish to have 13, yes 13 bones. Raised to a member of staff who didn’t seem too bothered or apologetic. Only raised as I thought the manager would like to know and re-train whoever does the prep work. Should never find bones if the prep person knows their stuff and does a thorough job. I hope the feedback will help improve standards going forward.

4. Food was very nice, the staff was superb, they even asked me if I take halal or not. thr vibes is very well thought and beautifully decorated. 5 stars!

5. Food is a landmark in Oxford not to be missed. I love the huge portions and the chips are always chunky and Devine.

   Staff are always helpful and willing to accommodate any requests.

   Food arrived piping hot even though it was delivered. It was well packaged and their sausages are the best! I could eat two jumbo ones they are delicious.

   Writing this review with my belly full and still over half left because the portion sizes are utterly generous.

   The one bit of feed back was that I wasn’t able to get through on the phone today called 3 times to request some extra vinegar sachets. Any chance you could add them to the menue for like 5p per sachets. I’m love drowning my chips in vinegar and every other time I call I can get through to you.

   It’s not a criticism I know the shop can get super busy as it’s so popular. I just love vinegar
