Location was great by the seafront. Car park was harder to find but is actually only around the corner closed by. Feels slightly understaffed as they run between the reception and the restaurant next to it. Room was clean and bathroom ventilation doesn’t work properly so beware of steam after bath/shower! On the first day of arrival we had a really dirty slime thing on the shower head and this was changed for us immediately so shout out to the staff who got our replacement and fixed it swiftly.
Buffet breakfast was ok but not the best with the hot food compared to their other branches in the UK, their fried eggs was cold and this was only at 8am! Their mushrooms was very dried so was not so pleasant.
Overall location was good. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom although clean could do with fixing the ventilator properly. Breakfast was a slight let down.
Arrival was a bit complicated because the car park I so far away for disabled oap’s. The small carpark with disabled bays was full so had to park in the bigger car park up the road with no easy access to walk to the hotel. A bit intimidating at night in the dark and cold having to carry bags back. Room was fine but I agree with other posts, the windows didn’t open to allow fresh air in and we were in a corner room so limited day light. The restaurant was ok but the staff a bit slow. I know it doesn’t really matter too much but once we were given our meals we were left alone, nice, but no one came to say “how’s your meal” and you sometimes notice things like that. Hotel was very quiet and we had a brilliant night’s sleep as always. Breakfast was good, plenty of options but the member of staff nearly had a fit when she realised we had seated ourselves and were just about to start breakfast I just said, it’s OK, my room number is on the door card on the table and I have been hear hundreds of time, no I don’t have any worrying allergies. Having looked around Rhyl very briefly, no complaints, been to Rhyl so many times and it is what it is.
Room comfy but dusty , shower broken , no extra pillows , two lights in room not working.
Usually fine at this Premier as we use quite a lot but not so good this visit .
Staff very nice but no one around to report slight problems as we left .
Location of the hotel is great, it’s on the seafront, next to everything you need.
However, we had flaws on our visit.
Upon arrival, the system wasn’t working so unable to get in straight away, but the staff did get that resolved quickly to be fair to them.
It is the only hotel have ever stayed at, that wouldn’t give you an extra pillow.
The staff seem overworked, running between the hotel & the adjoining restaurant. That is when they weren’t on their many many smoke breaks, leaving the reception unstaffed majority of the time.
The extractor fan in our room did not work, so having a shower or bath, you got smoked out, and the windows don’t open in this hotel.
Breakfast was not great, some of it already cold, and the lady chef behind the counter with an attitude as I didn’t re-use my plate although it was made up of mostly fat from the bacon I tried.
But to end of a positive, the end was comfortable, but absolutely will not be staying again!
On the sea front opposite Vue Cinema so location is good. Parking is off-site but free to guests. Rooms are typical of premier inn. Service at this site was very good. Despite only two members of staff being on shift they were able to accommodate guest meals and drinks and were very polite.
