  1. Leith is literally awash with fancy shmancy brunch venues but Printworks is highly rated and always busy. Worth a try surely…

Avocado toast is my bench mark for any aspiring cafe and unfortunately on our visit it didn’t quite hit the dizzy heights we anticipated.

The menu states that poached eggs are only available on weekends. How bizarre. But this Saturday they were unavailable and we had to opt for scrambled. Something not quite right there.

Whilst the portions were enormous and the ingredients of good quality it just felt a bit off. There was a hearty dressed side salad on the plate which really was just unnecessary for a brunch.

The service was also quite abrupt. A busy day but we weren’t made to feel welcome and that’s unforgivable. Maybe a snapshot on a less than perfect day but it didn’t match our expectations and for the price didn’t pass the value test too.

Pros: ingredients, great coffee, cake selection, decor

Cons: service, value, plating and execution

  2. Been here a few times, the cheesecake wins every time.

Coffee is fairly mellow, but flavourful. Toasties are grilled and served cut up into slices. Cheesecake is super creamy and apparently they order it in from a bakery in Fife. Absolutely top notch.

  3. Loved my latte and vibe of a place.
It was cute of them to offer me a membership card, however as a tourist/visitor would love to visit again 😎🤟

  4. Situated at constitution street, this cafe offers the range of foods and desserts.
My friend tried smoke salmon with scramble eggs. The wow factor is eggs which look very fluffy and I think many tables order eggs dishes topped up with other protein as well. Recommended to try definitely

I tried lemon meringue cheesecake I believe,
The cake is alright but the cheesecake flavour seem a little disharmonious.

The staff are wonderful and patient and the atmosphere is like warm and homey.
