Lovely place with beautiful and peaceful setting across the River Trent. A gorgeous selection of baked treats and ciabatta sandwiches. However, I implore this café to hire friendlier staff! The young lady who made my coffee and served me seemed surly and rather miserable and it really negatively impacted on my otherwise pleasant experience. A warm smile or two was all she needed to bring to her job. Perhaps this café could train all staff to smile, on occasion…
