Upon a friend’s recommendation, I visited Sakura Cuisine, one of the earliest establishments on Botanic Avenue. This restaurant has been in Belfast for many years. My favourite dish here is the Hell Seafood Ramen – the broth is rich and flavourful, and they offer homemade Hell Chilli Sauce, with the level of spiciness adjustable to your taste.
The sushi tray is another highlight here, making it a great spot even if you’re dining alone. The atmosphere here is excellent, and the service is thoughtful and attentive. I also love the background music they play in the restaurant – every visit feels like a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.
Fun atmosphere. Sat at the sushi bar. Good food. Reasonably priced.
I went there on a Sunday evening, the schedule was close to closing time, I sat at the bar in front of the conveyor belt so I could admire the plates parading in front of me.
I took 2 green plates and ordered “Regular Sushi Platter 8 pcs”
I enjoyed the presentation and the diversity, the fish and the rice was good but…it could be better.
I would go back there anyway…
because I would like to try sashimi next time…
Very nicely decorated. Food came very quickly (it wasn’t that busy). We all thought the dumplings were delicious. We were happy with the price/quality balance.
As of this review, I have been to this location twice. Each time there was seating available immediately, without a wait.
The staff seem friendly, helpful and responsive.
The food was delicious. Attached is a teriyaki duck with egg fried rice, and it was delicious. The duck was tender yet crispy, the rice was perfect. I also had a starter – chicken dumplings. Sooo good, very tender and juicy! They also have a Japanese-style conveyer belt where you can pick up plates which will be added to your bill.
In my opinion, the meal wasn’t too expensive and probably would have been better on my wallet if I hadn’t ordered so much – not an easy task with such an extensive menu! I hope to return soon if I happen to be in the area.
