A cozy, small place with a mixed experience. The standout dish was the sndjugo roll, but the rest of the menu tasted fairly average. Unfortunately, the fried shrimp was overly greasy, which overpowered the flavor. Portions were quite small for the price. Most concerning, we spotted a mouse upstairs, and the staff did not address it, which was disappointing.
Very lovely staff. We felt very welcome and went there two times during our stay. The food was delicious and we would recommend this amazing place. We tried out a lot of different things on the Menu and were never disappointed!
The sashimi and oyster tempura is really nice! Very fresh! Good atmosphere. Have a large collection of reasonably priced sake. The dessert despite simple is really tasty, the filling is not too sweet nor too blend. Good service. Highly recommend.
The food is so authentic—it feels like a little escape to Japan! Absolutely loved the melt-in-your-mouth A5 Wagyu Beef Nigiri, ultra-fresh sashimi (especially the butterfish!) and crispy tempura. The grilled aubergine with sweet miso was smoky and flavourful, and the matcha & black sesame mochi ice cream was light and refreshing. I also loved their floral Sanjugo Green Tea, curated by the Japanese tea house Lupicia. Overall, a fantastic dining experience, I can’t wait to go back! 😍😍
The staff were absolutely brilliant the whole night and very attentive! The food was exceptional, the drinks were awesome and to top it off, they asked if there was any special occasions (it was my birthday), so they brought my desert out with candles! It’s little touches like that, that make people always want to come back.
I’ll be revisiting with more friends next time for sure. Be sure to try the Tempura soft shell crab… I still think about it 😅
