Santos Coffee Mountain Brook

1. Thanks for the extremely thin slice non-ripe avocado that was on my avocado 🥑 toast today Santos Coffee. This was my first time going there and will definitely be my last. I ordered through the Toast app and upon arrival to pickup my order, the staff made sure my receipt was out and well visible to ensure they received a tip. (Normally give cash … not through the app). Also, this small piece of bread that wasn’t even toasted cost me $11.17. Do better Santos!

2. Nice addition to Mountain Brook and great to see a local company expanding with new locations around town. This was my first visit but I’m sure I’ll put this in the rotation going forward. The coffee is reliably good across Santos locations and I like their coffee sourcing philosophy/methodology and transparency. They have a nice selection of hot breakfast food (only available till 2pm) and their pastries come from Last Call Baking, my favorite bakery in town! Only slight negative is that the shop can get pretty loud since it’s pretty open and busy, but that’s to be expected. Indoor and outdoor seating on the sidewalk are both available. Friendly service and good wifi. Bonus points for alt cups! I can’t rank it among the top shops in town as nothing is over the top the best, but worth a visit nonetheless.

3. Delicious first time at Mt Brook location. Iced Cafe Caramel with 1 espresso shot was PERFECTION. It wasn’t watered down by ice. It was perfectly prepared that having added espresso the taste was consistent and did not have that strong espresso taste. I’m most interested in a caffeine boost that that is not too sweet and not to strong (when a flavor is chosen). I wish I knew the caffeine content but so so far I’d rather park and pick up inside than just order somewhere with a convenient drive thru that I end up not even drinking half of it. About to place my second pick up coffee order from Santos MB. For my pre work pick me up 👍👍

4. They took over the old chain coffee joint and the layout is pretty much the same but with their own decors. Parking is still a PITA during rush hour, but the coffee is good. You can get coffee beans and have it ground in store.

5. Takes way too long to make an iced coffee. They also did not make the drink correctly so incompetent on top of no time management. A barista walked in and fixed herself a drink instead of doing customer orders. They only way I got my drinks was to ask for a refund. It takes 58 second to build and finish an iced latte, they need training.
