Selwyn’s Seafoods

1. We felt so lucky to find this beautiful place while being on vacation in Wales. It’s not only cosy and stylish outside and inside, but all the food we tried there was absolutely delicious! We got greedy and ordered chips, fried cockles (divine!), crispy seaweed, oysters, crab cakes and grilled prawns and then finished every single bit of them, wishing for more 🦐🦪🦀
   There’s also a great range of products to buy, including fresh seafood and some lovely things you can get as gifts coming back home (like biscuits or artisan bread dipping oils, yum!)
   It’s also dog friendly! 🐾
   The owners and people working there were so welcoming and warm. It is a family run, small business, and we felt so much respect for what they built and for all the hard work and clear passion they have put into it 🙏🤍

4. Great quirky little store, selling quite honestly “THE BEST” Cockles I have ever eaten in my life, and there have been a few😉 It was fantastic to sit on the outside benches, surrounded by a ground covered in shells and watch the masters at work returning with sacks of freshly raked cockles from the nearby beach on their quads… Old school harvesting minus the donkeys 🫏 I had to try the battered cockles delicacy… Delicious! Don’t be tempted to shake the vinegar or tabasco over those little pots of cockles…. they definitely don’t need it!! SUBLIME!
