#Skosh
We’ve been to many Michelin restaurants, but Skosh fell short.
While the food was great, and well presented, it wasn’t anything that gave a wow. This was also challenged by the lack of a warm service and lighting in the back room beside the kitchen that was way too bright. Through a few small updates, Skosh could be fantastic, but it’s not there yet.
Really nice place on a cute street with Asian inspired sharing plates that punch. Walked in without a reservation at lunch and shared 6 dishes between two, mostly focusing on veg – with one memorable fried chicken massam-type dish (not veg, obviously). Nothing too surprising but all very tasty and generous in size. Perhaps a little too reliant on chili flakes. Bill came to £65 without wine which felt a good price.
A truly wonderful dining experience. Neil and his team are running an absolute gem of a restaurant. Food is delicious , staff are friendly, attentive without being overbearing and very knowledgeable. No hesitation in recommending Skosh to anyone. Already planning my next visit !
We have waited a while to go to Skosh and we weren’t disappointed. The service was friendly and professional and the food was outstanding. The duck liver mousse on toast was my particular favourite and the birthday cake dessert made me feel like a child again 😊 it was delicious. There was a great selection of drinks and the botanical cocktail was fabulous. We can’t wait to return when we can get in again. Thanks Skosh team.
If we lived closer, I could see this being a regular. Dishes are served tapas style and there is a large variety of creative dishes using quality produce. We particularly liked the egg, fried chicken, heritage tomatoes and the clotted cream soft serve dessert. Corn fritters were very tasty but could have been a bit crunchier. The sashimi of red mullet was more akin to a prawn cocktail in flavour profile, not sure we would pick this one again.
