I can’t say enough about this place. From the unbelievably gracious hostess to the clearing of the table, what a great experience. We started off with 6 hot honey wings that were cooked to perfection crispy, sweet, and just a tinge of spice. Burnt ends with coleslaw and a signature White Horse sauce – fabulously tasty meat with just the right char. The slaw was mild and fresh. Main course I ordered the rib combo with pulled pork, mac n cheese and baked beans. The ribs – fall of the bone awesomeness with a tasty char. The beans and mac were perfect. The pulled pork was out of this world. I don’t know how you make that pork melt in yo mouth, but my oh my, hands down the best pulled pork I’ve ever had. My wife had the choose two meats- turkey and fried chicken along with mac n cheese and crispy fries. Since when did turkey’s white meat get so damn juicy- no gravy or sauce needed, yum. The chicken had a wonderful crispy skin and juicy meat. We split the Grilled sticky for desert, warm grilled sticky bun topped with the smoothess vanilla ice cream I’ve ever had. The delicious topper of what was a start to finish stellar BBQ meal. Loved this place.
Very nice place for a third choice situation. Walked into the place and there was a gift store….had some very different gifts but really nice. The food was A1..the service was that also…I will return here soon.
We had to wait 20 odd minutes for a table as this place was so busy. That indicates how good this place is and how awesome the food is. Well we waited patiently and the wait was worth it.
I enjoyed the rib combo and Jenny the salmon. Both were absolutely delicious 😋. Mouth watering, tantalizing on the taste buds and not overly loaded on the plate. Perfect portion sizes of full taste overload.
Desert was nice, nothing special. Strawberry cake. Nice, not overly sweet.
Our server Veronica, poor girl she looked like she was ready to collapse from all the hard work. Fantastic service, thank you for making the meal and excellent memorable.
Eating at the Smokehouse BBQ & Brews was a really nice, rustic, country experience. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, with wall size photos of farm country barns and silos as well as plenty of antiquity ornaments lining the bar area, that kept me visually occupied while waiting for my meal.
I was greeted warmly by the hostess and my waitress Morgan, who was just as sweet and accommodating as can be throughout my time there. I chose the corn chowder first then the smokehouse platter with brisket and smoked turkey, cole slaw, fries with a side of corn.
My corn chowder was absolutely delicious! Quick to come out of the kitchen too! It was full of sweet corn, red peppers and seasoned perfectly. Soon after my meal came, brought by another very friendly waitress. Everything on my plate was incredible tasting. The smoked turkey was sweet, tender and had that perfect smokey flavor and smell. The cole slaw was sweet and creamy without being overly wet or saturated with mayo. My fries were well seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft centered. Yum!!! The brisket, was tender and filled with flavor but the turkey was the Star of the show!!!
For dessert I ordered the mini whoopie pies to go. Morgan wrapped them up for me to share with my husband later and told me the story of how the name ‘whoopie pie’ came to be. Make sure you ask her to tell it to you when you get there!
Overall I had a great lunch in a really fun atmosphere where I, as a solo diner, felt completely welcome and comfortable.
This was a pleasant last minute stop while passing through area. Was seating for lunch, prompt service and meal served quickly and hot! Would recommend the pickled appetizer. Was hungry for some fried chicken and did not disappoint.
