Son Of Steak Nottingham

1. Excellent service from the moment we walked through the door. Justina is an amazing server and made sure we were topped up with drinks regularly during our bottomless brunch. Not only did she make sure we were ok but she checked on all the tables she served and did so with a smile every time. Will 100% come again

2. Was excited looking at the menu and ordered what I was expecting to be a killer combo.
   My partners fillet was ordered medium rare and it came out blue, they were happy to fix this but by the time it came back we’d eaten everything else, this place has steak in the name.
   Ironically the chicken was the best part of the meal would 100% recommend the chicken burger and karaage.
   The mac&cheese was meh and the dirty fires were decent.

   The staff were amazing though, super helpful and friendly, can’t praise them enough.

3. Decided to have a wonder around Notts City Centre’s yesterday but really struggled for somewhere to eat. We eventually found this place.
   They’re currently changing menu so half of the items were unavailable. The server just said ‘if it isn’t what you want it’s best to go somewhere else’, which was rather blunt for customer service. (Having worked at M&S I know exactly how people should be served).
   The ribeye however was a pleasant surprise and I really enjoyed the house slaw and cocktails.
   I’d avoid until the new menu/stock has arrived though….

4. First time going here, and it didn’t disappoint.
   My partner is gluten free and they did everything to make sure, she had a lovely meal and had gluten free beer as well.
   She had the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly for her. And I had the flat steak and boneless chicken leg, which was also cooked to perfection.
   Both had amazing taste and flavour, we’ll definitely be going back.

5. Fillet Medallion was supposedly the most “melt in your mouth” steak but unfortunately the steak itself was chewier than expected 😭 it was still yummy, even though they cooked it more Medium than medium-rare 😭 that’s why I only gave 4 stars but I’d still visit again to try their burgers and other dishes !! The nicest thing was the service too, our server was lovely, I think her name was Nicole MGR (on the receipt). I ordered the mocktail tanqueray collins, the menu stated it would be lemony and delicious but it was wayyyyy sweeter than I expected ! I was so sad and I felt so bad I asked if I could get lemon to add some acidity but she said they were all out. She looked very kind and apologetic and told me that she could swap the drink for me and I was surprised and asked her “are you sure I feel like it’s such a waste!” And she gave me a reassuring smile and told me it was really fine 🥹🥹💕 I appreciate her patience and readiness to accommodate 🫶🏻
