Steak and Stamp

1. Absolutely stunning meal. Steak incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. Starters were very tasty and the chef was such a lovely lady. She deserves so much praise. The restaurant is little and so cosy, parking is very easy. Over the railway bridge is a car park. Just google it.
   The price if our meal was fantastic too. Im an ex military chef and I could not find fault at all with this awesome little restaurant unlike some people. Its taken ages to get a table here and we will 100% be coming back. X

2. Disappointed bc I’ve only heard good things about this place..I hate to say it but even Miller & Carter is better! Marble & Pasture are leagues above what we had tonight..!

   Myself & my husband both ordered a dry aged ribeye steak medium. They both were very bland and weirdly tough!? Also, they kept the pellicle on the steak (dried outer layer of dry aged meat – see photo), which was a strange choice as its very tough and difficult to chew!

   The staff seem lovely, but service was slow.
   Overall, I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

   02/10: In response to the restaurant’s comment: You were informed of our disappointment at the time as I left half of my steak uneaten and you gave us some free drinks. While this was appreciated, it didn’t make up for the disappointing steak we both had.

3. Well I’ve waited a long time to be able to book a table here, so my expectations were high!!!!
   Disappointed to say the least.
   Extremely small place.. Parking is a nightmare.
   Service fab. Chef fab. Quality of food definitely not what I expected.. Steak was chewy, not much taste at all either… Glad I finally got to there, will I be going back? No!!!

4. Wow! What a wonderful dining experience!
   Attended this little restaurant for a birthday celebration, excellent time had by all.

   The restaurant seating was cosy, the whole establishment was immaculate and the staff were so friendly.
   The food was outstanding 👌 one of the best meals we have had.

   Thank you to the staff for a wonderful evening.

5. Both the chef and serving staff absolutely smashed it out of the park tonight for our daughter’s 17th birthday. Starters of crispy beef and mixed meat and olives were stunning. Mains, Husband and daughter shared the amazing chateaubriand with plenty of side dishes included and for myself an award winning seabass dish.. i cannot recommend this restaurant enough! I have to mention the Little Penybont Arms also for pre drinks was an absolute pleasure. Thank you both teams for a fantastic night to remember.
