Really enjoy having lunches here or popping in for a coffee & snack. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. New refurbishment is wonderful. There is even a walk-up coffee window on the side of the building if you need to get your java to go. Love the chalkboards with their witty (and sometimes wise!) sayings at the front entry. Favorite things on the menu include the vegan “sausage” rolls, the baked potatoes and the sweet potato fries with harissa dipping sauce.
Some little ways that this location could improve: I’d really appreciate seeing prices up on all the menus. The other little improvement would be putting *all* the cakes, tray bakes, etc that are out on display under cake domes/lids.
Other than this, Synge & Byrne at Sugar Quay are doing a brilliant job and I am so pleased to see them back and better than ever after the flooding last year. Lastly, but certainly not least, I am so pleased that there are not one but two disability accessible toilets available for customers now. A huge upgrade from the old, single customer toilet that was not disability accessible. Keep up the great work, folks!
First time in this place – staff are extremely friendly especially a brown haired woman on first thing this morning. Got a lovely coffee and sausage roll which included a salad, coleslaw and sauce – very reasonably priced! Will be back
Lovely spot to sit inside, food was terrible however. Chips were burnt and hard and the pasta had no taste whatsoever. The cakes were lovely so at most I can recommend the coffee and cakes. £8.50 for a sausage roll is a bit mad too. Nice staff.
Very good food and coffee. Friendly staff.
Lovely cafe though we googled dog friendly because we had our dog with us. Dogs are only allowed outside. There were only two tables for 2 outside. What if it had been raining? Dog friendly means dogs are allowed inside.
