Tariff & Dale

1. I really liked this place. It was clean and had a stylish industrial look to it. The staff were very patient with us wanting to sit inside and the getting too hot and moving indoors! The menu isn’t huge but it has a nice variety. The same with the drinks to be honest.
   I had a pizza and it was delicious and bigger than I expected. Definitely would be happy to return.

2. The bar staff are so knowledgeable and helpful. My friend and I had a couple of cocktails each that were both delicious and expertly made. A nice place to stop and have a drink. It was quiet when we visited but it was a Friday afternoon and I’m sure it picks up once people finish work for the weekend etc. A rustic and cosy vibe with plenty of seating and a great selection of drinks. We didn’t eat the food having already eaten but it did smell tasty!

3. We ordered margarita pizza and spiced crispy chicken burger with fries. The pizza was delicious, the sauce was very tasty and overall the pizza was very fresh and the dough was perfectly made. Burger was one of the best I’ve eaten in a long time. Fries also came in nicely seasoned. Overall great food, quick and friendly service, nice mocktails made at request based on preferences. All that at a very reasonable price, would definitely recommend. 👍

4. I don’t like having to write negative reviews, but following our visit I received an email asking for feedback which I responded to with a complaint, but never heard back. I had written the below and would have liked a response:

   I came on Saturday evening with my parents to celebrate my graduation, having booked a table in the restaurant 2 weeks ago. We turned up to find the restaurant set up for a private function, and staff were confused as to why we had a booking. It eventually turned out that we had a table in the bar upstairs. We would have struggled to find a table elsewhere at such short notice on a Saturday, so had to stay. The food and staff were great, but it was absolutely not the experience we wanted or expected. The bar was full of people drinking and being very loud (not their fault), and the music was far too loud. We were short 1 starter when they came – I imagine because the waitress couldn’t hear us properly when we were ordering – and we couldn’t hear each other speak. It’s poor that we were moved upstairs without being made aware beforehand – we would not have come had we known. Thankfully the staff (very friendly and helpful) and the food saved the evening slightly, but it was very disappointing, especially for what was supposed to be a special occasion, and one for which my parents had travelled a long way.

5. I had the cheeseburger for lunch, which was nice, but at £15 plus a cheeky 10% service charge was a bit meagre with just a few fries to accompany it. No complaints, but it’s fairly pricey here.
