Every time I come here I get questioned on my age (which is fine when I have items that need ID) but even after showing them ID they still question me! One even said “You’re 14?!” After seeing that I was born in 2004… it’s 2024 I don’t understand the maths there!!! I go with my baby and they’re very nosy as to if it’s my baby or not! I just want to shop without being interrogated!! Staff often have a negative attitude and seem to hate their job to be honest. The club card is a way of making us think it’s a good price whereas in reality they raise the normal prices to make it seem that way. I don’t care if club card means they can keep track of what I buy. Our phones do way worse just stop bringing the prices up. Also it’s heartbreaking and cruel that they cage the formula. Of all the things. I’m not condoning stealing but formula shouldn’t be caged like that baby’s have to drink! There is no bloody connection in the shop so I can’t show people the products by ft or send it on message and can’t transfer money from accounts! I unfortunately still shop here as it’s the most convenient one but I dread coming here!
I recently visited the Tesco car wash machine on a Sunday at 6:30 pm. As everyone knows, Tesco closes at 4:00 pm on Sundays. The purpose of my visit was to use the car wash located in front of the petrol station. Due to heavy traffic, it took me 42 minutes to exit the Tesco parking lot.
A few days later, I received a £40 fine for exceeding the allowed parking time by just 12 minutes operated by Horizon. I paid the fine immediately, but afterward, I realized that the delay was due to waiting in line for the car wash. When I tried to contact Horizon to explain the situation and request a refund, I was unable to appeal because I had already paid the fine, and the case was closed. and by posting I need to approve but I don’t have as I paid cash.
I advise anyone visiting this location to be cautious about parking limits. It’s hard to imagine spending less than half an hour between shopping or using the car wash. Given this experience, I’ve decided not to visit this Tesco again and will instead shop at stores that allow more reasonable parking times.
Don’t bother ordering online if this is your local Tesco, especially if you live in an apartment block. Multiple times you book your shopping for a slot and it just doesn’t turn up. No call from the driver, no update. If you dig in and complain you find out the driver just cancelled the order because “no one answered” – no phone calls and they can never be bothered to use apartment block intercoms. Complained to this Tesco multiple times and you get excuses like “oh your building’s intercom is hard to use” (it isn’t, you put in the number and press call.) They never redeliver either – when they let you down like this, it’s rebook for another day or get a refund. It’s just happened to me again, so I think this is the last time I shop with Tesco.
I recently visited the Tesco car wash on a Sunday. After waiting in line for the car wash, it took me 39 minutes to exit the parking lot. A few days later, I received a £40 fine for exceeding the parking limit by just 9 minutes. I paid it immediately but realised afterward that the delay was caused by waiting in the car wash queue. Unfortunately, I couldn’t appeal because after paying they already closed the case. I was a regular customer, but I will never visit this place again.
Tesco should inform persons shopping that cashiers close by 21:53. There were two cashiers on duty and both said they will be closing after their current customers. That we should use the self check out. I told the second lady I went to, that I wasn’t familiar with the self checkout. And, that the other cashier said that she was closed after her current customer. She simply shrugged her shoulders. Mind you both cashiers were at the final stages of checking out their customers. Now after spending time selecting groceries I had to leave them right there. But I’m sure someone would have spent more time repacking them then it would have taken if one of the cashiers had cashed us out. Now, none of the two of them had up signs indicating that they were closed.
This was a very bad experience for me.as I will not be back at that branch even though it’s the closest one to me.
Very disappointed and dissatisfied.
