The Abbey

1. Came for lunch at The Abbey with family. The burgers were massive and nice. The chicken strips for a starter were disappointing. Don’t know if I’d rush back but food was pleasant enough. Drink was pretty cheap

2. Haddock fish and chips was alright, well seasoned but some parts were still abit flat

   The steak pie has a generous amount of meat, the pastry was crispy and airy too although it was a little difficult to pull apart. Mash was good, well seasoned and flavourful without being too buttery

   Service was nonchalant tho. They kept us waiting for quite a while when we were trying to pay, without informing us why

3. Fantastic pub, outstanding whisky selection, good food, cask ales, friendly staff. Lamb liver was really delicious.

4. Great spot after coming down from Arthur’s Seat. Food was hot and tasty. Service spot on. Amazing scotch selection and everything was reasonably priced.

5. Food was always delicious. Haggis Bon Bons on point, Mac and Cheese really cheesy and flavorful, great Beer and Whisky drams.
   Came next morning for Scottish Breakfast and I left a very clean plate.
   Staff is great, and honestly, tomorrow I’ll probably go again.
