  1. Ask my friend who’s quite local for somewhere nice and he recommended this place so drove over a hour to try it out. Excellent service and excellent food very polite staff. Very reasonable with the price and really good portions Fantastic all round. Beautiful place and without a doubt we will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend.

  2. Been tonight for food with our two dogs. Nice welcoming pub. Food and drink was good and the staff friendly and attentive. Had the gammon and portion of onion rings which were really nice and partner had the steak and ale pie, which she said was delicious. For after, we shared a bread and butter pudding and custard. Dogs are welcome in the bar area, so book in advance if you plan to bring your dogs, as even though it was a Wednesday night, seemed to be getting busy by time we left. Definitely worth a visit.

  3. Service is fantastic here, gone above and beyond to accommodate us here on a walking during a busy Saturday night and I am so glad they have. Food has been incredible, my other half is a big foodie and often gets the muscles .. claims they are the biggest , tenderest most delicious he as ever had. Honestly never seen him so happy! The speed of the service is also fantastic!

  4. After a delightful hike up Pen-y-Fan, we decided to visit The Ancient Briton Pub, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff who made us feel right at home.

The atmosphere was vibrant, with incredible music playing throughout the day, adding to the overall enjoyment of our visit. The food lived up to its award-winning reputation, and I highly recommend trying the steak and Stilton pie – it was absolutely delicious!

A particularly nice touch was the reserved long table for locals, which created a welcoming community vibe. The locals were in high spirits, singing at the bar, which added to the charm of the place. We enjoyed our time so much that we returned for dinner, and the experience was just as wonderful the second time around.

Overall, I would highly recommend The Ancient Briton Pub for its friendly staff, great music, and outstanding food. It’s a perfect spot to relax and enjoy after a hike.

  5. We came here for Dinner on our first night of our little get away to Wales. They welcomed myself and my partner along with my greyhound Dixie with a very warm welcome, fabulous service and absolutely delicious food. I had a ribeye steak which was the best I have ever tasted. They were very accommodating and friendly. We had to return on our last night of our holiday as we enjoyed it so much. Yet again super service and a friendly atmosphere. Will definitely make sure we come back.
