#Auld
Auld Hundred Restaurant in Edinburgh is a hidden gem that truly deserves recognition. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the tone for a fantastic dining experience.
The food is outstanding, with a menu that delights the palate. I was particularly impressed by the Channa Masala; while it might not be the traditional Indian take, it offered a delightful twist that was both flavorful and satisfying. The soup of the day was equally impressive, showcasing fresh ingredients and a depth of flavor that left me wanting more.
Auld Hundred also boasts an excellent selection of beers, perfect for pairing with your meal. The highlight for many, though, is the extensive collection of Scotch whiskies. Whether you’re a connoisseur or a casual drinker, you’re sure to find something that suits your taste.
What truly sets this restaurant apart is the exceptional service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a memorable dining experience. Their recommendations are spot on, adding a personal touch that enhances the overall visit.
Reservations are highly recommended, as this place can get busy, and it’s easy to see why. Auld Hundred is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy great food, amazing drinks, and top-notch service in the heart of Edinburgh. I can’t wait to return!
Stopped in for dinner, food is upstairs, pub is down. Had a very good burger and my wife had the red chicken curry which she liked a lot. Service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy. It was busy the entire time we were there and quite a few people were turned away due to reservations and limited space. A good place!
I booked this place as I wanted a steak pie for my birthday. On the internet I found a review about this place and decided to book it. I went with my partner and we both had a great experience, make sure you book a table as it was full on a Tuesday.
We ordered the haggis bonbon as starter and let me tell you they are amazing, they come with a whisky sauce that is just delicious. I ordered the steak pie which I was very pleased with, and my partner ordered a burger that was mouth watering, big, and tasty (but I did not take a picture, unfortunately).
The staff are also very attentive.
It is a place to come back to, and we will bring friends and family since it was overall a pleasant experience.
Would recommend!!
What a fantastic find! We were shown to a table and informed of the ‘specials board’ as well as the menu. We decided to try the local delicacy of haggis neeps. The food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The staff were professional, polite and spent time to explain about the mamy whiskeys available and the origins. Would definitely recommend.
If you want traditional Scottish dishes this is a great place to go.
Great value givens its location so close to the Princes St.
My party informed me that they serve such a tasty haggis dish that anyone who is interested in trying it should come here.
Not enough places put Brie in a burger!
