1. Came here for the breakfast challenge. Lovely place. Nice atmosphere and extremely dog friendly. Loved that I could order for my dog too. Sid was fantastic, very attentive and friendly.
   Would highly recommend

2. Well presented range of brunch dishes – but it’s the welcoming and friendly service which makes this such a brilliant wee cafe. The 4 of us visited on a very busy Sunday lunchtime having failed to find a table elsewhere in Shawlands but the queue at the Brooklyn Cafe was efficiently managed. We loved the unexpected but delicious little extras such as homemade sauces. Sid was a star!

3. Have you seen the sizes of these coffees?! Good prices and wide selection of breakfast and brunch options, including vegan and vegetarian food. Dog-friendly with a special dog menu!

4. Stepped into this bustling cafe on a vibrant Sunday morning with my family, including our little one, and were immediately embraced by the lively atmosphere and the infectious energy of the crowd. Despite the rush, the staff remained incredibly friendly and attentive. We all savored the generous and delicious portions of food. Even amidst the Sunday morning hustle, a simple request for a glass of water was met with a delightful surprise – it arrived with a freshly cut lemon, a small gesture that truly brightened my day. With such a vibrant vibe and welcoming service, we’re eagerly anticipating our next Sunday morning visit to this lively cafe.

5. By far, favourite brunch spot in the southside (controversial, I know), with customer service at the core.
   Food is of superb quality, with all the brunch classics and a few more left field options.
   Always attentive and rarely left waiting for a table or to order. Good portion sizes, and the homemade hot sauces are a must-try to complete your experience here.
   Multiple toilets, good dietary preference/allergen options.
   To top it all off, Sid and the team have created a really wonderful atmosphere here. Friendly, warm, not too loud and always so cosy.
