I was so happy to see the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in the busy Denver airport. I have always loved their Ice Blended Vanilla drink. It was my favorite when I lived in California in the 1990s. It still tastes perfect!
High quality drip coffee. They were happy to add fresh milk for me and added the correct amount which is important. Also ordered a bear claw pastry – it was fresh and tasted great!
Barista asked if we wanted whipped cream but did not mention it would be extra (used to come with whipped cream with no charge) so I said yes. My two drinks were over 22$ which even for airport prices is crazy. After I got my drinks I asked for a cup of ice to fill up my water bottle and they said no because they charge for ice and that if I want water I need to buy a bottle of water even though they clearly have tap water. So very overpriced and staff was rude. Go to Starbucks
Kiosk was clean and the people that helped me seemed like they would rather be anywhere else. I forgot to ask for whipped cream so I asked for some from the barista _ she said – oh you have to get back in line and pay for that. Didn’t mind. I waited in line and it was taking forever so I decided nevermind… I’ll just get it and go to my gate – but she had already put the whipped cream so I waited. The cashier rang me up for $1.74 for whipped cream on a small latte. So my small latte was about $9 with a quality of about 4/10. Ridiculous.
They make the hot tea off the espresso machine rather than bags. My “Earl Grey” just tasted like watered down coffee. Nice folks operating, but this place is for coffee drinkers.
