The Cowley Retreat

1. Great bar we visited on the way to see Goat in the O2 Academy. Huge outside area that is covered with heating and comfortable seating. It would be especially great come summer ☀️.

2. I went for the anchoive and caper pizza and it was delicious. A bit light on the toppings, they could double what they put on but the pizza was hot, the base super thin and the cheese really tasty.
   Overall for £10 incredible value for money in a pub.

3. Our pre bar drinks venue before going on to see Fat freddy’s drop in the Academy…what a great venue…the lovely girl behind the bar was welcoming and informative about the Pimms mix, obvious you may think but not so in a lot of bars. Great atmosphere, great music. My daughter and I felt safe and relaxed. Would return if in the area. Thank you team x

4. Lovely drinks & affordable.

   However, I am very disappointed in the disabled toilet currently being used as a storage area.

   Not very inclusive for the disabled community, as you wouldn’t be able to use the toilet safety as you can’t reach grab rails and also the amount of clutter doesn’t make it an accessible toilet.

5. Best espresso martinis I’ve ever had thanks to the lady behind the bar, nice atmosphere outside with the outdoor heaters too. Student friendly with happy hour and 2 for £10 on cocktails – will be sure to visit again!
