We visited whilst on a trip to York, the food and service was outstanding! We’ve never been to a restaurant where the staff were so friendly and attentive, from the second we walked in the door we were greeted by the loveliest lady, the waiters and waitresses were all amazing! The food was absolutely beautiful, we couldn’t fault it at all! The chef had a slight issue with one of our desserts so we had a bit of a wait for it, which was absolutely fine and gave us some extra time to try some more of the delicious cocktails, and again, the staff were absolutely amazing and kept checking in on us and couldn’t apologise enough! The dessert was definitely worth the wait too! We highly recommend the restaurant and we can’t wait to visit again when we’re back in York!
Delicious dinner with carefully presented, well flavoured dishes. Each course had an element of something special and twists on classics such as the Smoked Haddock Scotch Egg. The service was attentive but not too quick giving lots of time to enjoy company. The decor was very chic with seating radiating from a center bar and views of the kitchen area. Would definitely recommend for a slightly more upscale treat or special occasion.
The food was wonderful, great flavours, great variety of meats all cooked to perfection.
The service was very charismatic and attentive, and the wait was good despite being very busy.
The atmosphere is incredibly, very nicely done inside and you can see the chefs grill on open flames in the kitchen.
And the wine menu is fantastic
Wow, wow, wow!
I honestly thought I’d had the best steak I’d ever had elsewhere, but this place beats it!
The place is gorgeous. It’s a pleasure to eat surrounded by beautiful, modern decor.
The service is excellent, the staff can’t do enough for you and they are extremely professional and polite. You can tell they have so much confidence that you’ll enjoy the food.
We had two lots of garlic bread with cheese between four of us and that was more than adequate for us.
For my main, I had the ribeye, bone marrow gravy and the potato tots – It melted in my mouth.
It cost £30 just for the steak, then have to add the sauce which is about a fiver, then sides are from £5-£7.
Had a bottle of the house red between two which is £26.
A 10% service charge is added to every bill but the staff make you aware of it and offer to remove it if required.
A must visit if in the area, and look forward to visiting the new Manchester one when it opens.
Best service ever- very attentive and personal service. Great ambience- waiting area with lamped tables, funky music, flaming grill and has a New York vibe about it. Whole sea bream was delicious. Only issue was my steak was overcooked- I asked for medium well, but it was served like charcoal. Also I found the steak a bit salty – suggest less salt and more mixed peppercorns
