The Engine Room

1. A great way to start my stay here in Sunderland. The Sunday roast with pudding was exactly what was needed after moving here. The service was perfect and I highly recommend anyone to come here and eat and enjoy a Sunday.

2. Staff were really friendly as were the punters. Venue was good. Facilities very clean. Acoustics were good…no space to dance tho.

3. So we had a sirloin steak with chips and peppercorn sauce oh my the meal was amazing the drinks were spot on the price was surprising for a city not expensive at all I highly recommend this place to anyone to get a meal and drinks before a live performance next door in the fire station also the lass that served us was lovely rushed off her feet but still smiling and professional we loved it

4. A fabulous spacious place to dine or visit for a drink. It has a lot of the old fire station features which is great for us who remember when it was a working fire station. The staff are superb n extremely friendly n conscientious n the food is excellent quality n reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place especially before a show at the nearby Empire.

   I’ve since found out that this place has live bands/gigs n they put on shows which is a brilliant addition for entertainment.

5. We visited the Engine Room ahead of a show. The staff were really attentive, eager to please and the food was excellent as well as being reasonably priced. Great range of drinks, too. I’d really recommend the Engine Room whether you’re visiting to see a show or just for a great dining experience!
