1. Wonderful place, so friendly and cheerful. The food was amazing and well worth the price. We had a Sunday roast and managed to grab a table by arriving at 11 and booking for 12:30 (when food starts). Both owners had a lovely attitude and made us feel taken care of, I could have been eating a home made roast in my own dining room.

   The only thing I struggled with was the sound level of the speakers. They played the radio and I’m particularly sensitive to loud music – they have a really good distribution of speakers but that unfortunately meant there was little to no quiet spots. Although we didn’t, I’m sure if you asked they’d turn it down.

   Don’t let it stop you coming down, this place is a real hidden gem. I didn’t spend more than £15 and I got the expensive roast option. Heavily recommend!

2. The Griffen serves delicious imaginative food with locally sourced ingredients – some from their own garden. Service is attentive. The surroundings are comfortable and artful. You will want to return frequently. It’s well worth the trip!

3. Always a friendly welcome and a good pint. The dinners are amazing 🤩. Very nice family run pub.
