The High Main – JD Wetherspoon

1. This place is very spacious but the clientele is street folk and old age drinkers pretty much 24/7. Cheap drink if you’re there for that, food used to be great value, now it’s pub standard prices £12-15 for a mixed grill, and the quality has really declined. Meat was like cardboard, chips meh, and the veg was just mushy.

   Wasn’t at all impressed with my last visit and the staff are just flat out rude. The manager (girl) probably the worst of them. Id avoid this place if you want a decent meal and pleasant experience.

   Try the corner house or the newton instead. Better value for money, cleaner, and family friendly.

2. Iv just had a large breakfast. The service was really good. Nice smiling happy to help staff. Not been here in a while though but I will most definitely be coming bk again soon.

3. Decent Wetherspoons with a good overall atmosphere.
   Food and drink was very acceptable, you pretty much know what you are going to get at most Wetherspoons. This was no exception.
   The service could have been more friendly, from a Team Leader of all people.
   I work in this area now and would have no problems going back here again. In fact I plan to be a frequent visitor up until my retirement in February next year.
   Always enjoy the excellent deals Wetherspoons do before 5pm.
   Definitely recommended.

4. Love visiting the High Main pub

   Pop in every few weeks for a couple of beers and tuna panini and chips which are always great.

   The selection of dark beers is excellent and always well kept and so cheap compared to other bars!

   I really like the bar atmosphere

   Pubs always clean and seating comfortable

   Staff and service is always great too.

   Would deffo recommend a visit x

5. I had a small vegetarian breakfast and orange juice and lemonade (it’s one mixed drink). The drink was ok, maybe better than orange juice. The vegetarian breakfast was good, but I don’t understand why they don’t serve it with bread, the egg yolk was runny (red :)) and I think bread is needed.
   It was extremely cheap.
