Went to see The Ross Miller Band in The Hug and Pint on Monday 12th Aug.
Met by nice welcoming staff who explained the lay out of the pub.
We went downstairs to see the band in a compact room. The sound and lights were excellent and the gig was fantastic.
After the gig we went back upstairs to the spacious seating area. Again excellent service from the staff from the well stock bar.
Throughly good night out at The Hug and Pint.
Stopped here for a drink, as pub we had planned to go was heaving on.
It looks nicer on the inside, nicely decorated, space between the tables. Menu on tables, which were reasonably priced. Pint of That hers and a can of pineapple SCHOFFERHOFER, and pint of water ( no draught lager that I liked) £10 dross. Music venue downstairs, music every night. Would go back to catch a band and try a pizza.
One of the best wee music venues in Glasgow. Been so many times, seen a variety of bands – some famous, some not so. Each time the sound is great, the crowd even better. And they serve amazing margaritas with chilli salt. Serves food too. What’s not to like.
Good beer selection, great pizza, friendly staff. The venue space is really nice, although there wasn’t a band on I wanted to see at the time. If there was more weird noisier stuff on I’d go to a show for sure.
Great wee gig venue. Great bar upstairs to meet in prior to goi g downstairs to see band. Liked that and can head back up after for drink with pals.
Dodgy women’s toilets downstairs for gig. Like paddling pool with the toilet door only closing half way.
One very rude member of bar staff
