The Lodge Hotel

1. On the day we visited as a family group we found the food was great but service was not up to what we expected. Firstly we got our meals but when finished we had to wait for tables to be cleared. We had to ask for this. Then we had to ask for the dessert menu, something we expected would be offered. I appreciate it was busy at the time but when such a good offer and good food is on offer, I would expect a service to match.
   I had planned to go with friends soon, but not sure at the moment.

2. We just had two wonderful nights’ stay and all of us loved it and slept so well and comfortably . This is a very special hotel with lovely staff and we enjoyed a special big family lunch too in the big private area which was really enjoyable too .
   (A particular thanks to the gentleman who served an amazing early breakfast this morning as we had an early flight and we appreciated the thought and kindness of allowing that as it set our children up so well. We then had long flight and train and bus delays! So it kept everyone cheery ! Huge thanks )

3. Didn’t stay but enjoyed a great meal on way home from Air Show. Staff were all lovely and attentive. The meal was great, the menu choices were extensive. The location is good if you’re driving. I think it was bought over recently and it seems to be even better than when I was there two years ago so that’s positive.

4. Dropped in for morning coffee. Raspberry and white chocolate scones recommended. They were presented beautifully with real fresh cream and jam. Staff very friendly and even carried my coffee over to my table.

5. My family of 24 went to the Lodge Hotel on Saturday 12th October 2024 for a meal.We were catered for in a private function room as our father had recently died four weeks ago so this was perfect for us.The 3 course meal was served hot and very presentable on the plates.The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.Nothing was too much bother.l will definitely be back to eat there again
