The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar

1. Fantastic! Definitely the best meal we had in Newport (and we had many great ones). Also, one of the best seafood restaurants I’ve dined at. We had oysters, clam chowder, lobster rolls, shrimp pasta, the tuna and the cod. All absolutely delicious. The biscuits are huge– one can easily serve 3-4 people. Menu is extensive for a seafood restaurant. Cocktails were excellent too. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. We dined at night but had it been daytime, the view would be beautiful overlooking the water
   Definitely recommend.

2. The food and service were both phenomenal. My girlfriend and I went here for the first time to celebrate her birthday and everything from the bread to dessert was executed perfectly. We had the octopus and crab toast for appetizers and were blown away. The octopus was cooked perfectly; not overcooked and rubbery at all, just decadent. The crab toast was unique and perfect in every way. The bread was the perfect amount of toasted to be the perfect vessel for the crab without being too hard that it hurt to eat. We also got oysters which were amazing, but the mignonette was a true standout. Unique and delicious. For dinner we both got the seafood pasta and it was to die for. Usually the camera eats first but the food was so good we forgot to snap a pic of the main course. We will definitely be back and highly recommend you go here. Ask for Michelle for a waitress. She is really really good at her craft

3. During our family trip, we decided to stop by this restaurant, and it was a fantastic choice. We ordered lobster and mussels, and I must say, the lobster was impressively large and incredibly fresh. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, highlighting the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere added to our experience, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal together. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food and the ambiance.

4. Absolutely incredible!!!! The food! The ambiance!! This was THE BEST clam chowder I have ever had. We also got the biscuit- we were blown away. One huge crispy biscuit with soft butter layers!!!! Incredible!!! We were full from all that so got a salad (perfection) with very fresh salmon on top. This restaurant should be a staple in every trip to Newport!!

5. It’s easy to see why reservations here are tough to get! During our trip to Newport, my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to score an early dinner slot, and it was so worth it. The food was fantastic—I had the stuffed lobster, which was absolutely delicious, and the lobster shrimp fritters were amazing too. Service was attentive, and the drinks were well-crafted. No complaints at all. We’d definitely come back!
