The Original Mama D’s Italian Kitchen

1. Mama’s D has always been my go to Pasta place since I was in high school. It was great back then and it is still great now. If you love Pasta/Italian food, look no further than you’ve come to the right place. My personal favourite is the homemade pink sauce with Angel Hair.

2. Italian food nearby, good price, very popular, and the friendliest wait staff!

   I swear id go here just to talk with the waitstaff as they are so nice and accommodating. The portions are good and the flavor is great. Whenever you come you should expect a bit of a wait, but they have a bartender going around, and even little samples of noodles for you to stay occupied. If you ask the wait time, add about 15-20 minutes to it.

   Once inside order right away and I swear your food is out in a second. They also serve a nice warm cookie at the end which is a perfect dessert 😊

3. Our first time visiting Newport Beach.
   Every video itinerary said to come here.
   Likely the nicest staff I’ve ever met. Everyone was so kind and welcoming.
   I am conflicted writing this as I know it will impact their tips but the food y’all 🙁
   Tables are very, very close but once you get squeezed in you kinda forget.
   The food wasn’t great. My daughter sent hers back. Mine was mediocre at best. My mom had the best dish- chicken & sausage capri. Cookies were like hockey pucks.
   I’m assuming we caught a bad night but we wouldn’t return.

4. Mama D’s serves up extraordinary authentic Italian dishes within a fun, exciting and hospitable environment. I recommend this place because you can’t beat food that is authentic and has been around for a long time! Best to try the spaghetti and meatballs! The pizzas are light and tasty as well. It’s a busy place, very local. I would take my family to eat here or for a special occasion. The service is on point and I like how they know the menu real well. I’ll be going back as it was recommended to me too, so word is getting around fast! What a wonderful and unexpected experience. Love it! Best Italian food!

5. I have been coming to this place for as long as I can remember, and It’s a 10 every single time! If you haven’t been here yet, you need to come NOW. Our server, Stockton, was very nice and made sure we got our food fast. The atmosphere is not overwhelming and quite cozy. All of the staff are jolly and almost everyone in the restaurant joins together to sing happy birthday to random people haha. highly recommend this place!
