  1. I remember this place when it was on Hanover Street, one of the best spots for lunch.

I’m glad to say that is still the case. Lots of different varieties of pakoras, some street food sides to choose from as well.

It’s still fresh, tasty, and filling while also being relatively inexpensive.

Haggis and chicken pakora wrap was superb.

The new restaurant looks good and has a relaxed atmosphere.

There is also a mezzanine floor upstairs, which would be perfect for a party or function.

I highly recommend checking this place out.

  2. I had a wonderful dining experience at the Pakora bar. The food was absolutely delicious—especially the fried chicken, which was crispy and flavorful, and the curry, which had the perfect blend of spices. The cold beer complemented the meal perfectly.

What truly made the evening special, though, was the outstanding service provided by Ayah. She was attentive, warm, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Whether it was helping us choose the right dishes or ensuring our glasses were never empty, Ayah made us feel truly welcome and well taken care of.

I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great meal with excellent service. Thank you, Ayah, for making our visit memorable!

  3. We walked by this restaurant and heard that it has good reviews. I really wanted to give it a try, despite that we just had a late lunch.

We told the waiter that we wanted to try a few things in smaller portions. He was very friendly and polite, and recommended a few dishes for us. I have to admit that I don’t a lot about but I really like the dishes he recommended. He checked on us a few times to ask if we need help, or need more food.

The restaurant is very clean with plenty of spaces. I definitely will come back again if I visit Edinburgh again.

  4. Beautiful spot inside. Food is excellent. Plenty of gluten free for me. I had a nice hot bowl of curry over rice on a chilly day. Husband had pakora. Both were excellent and service was phenomenal. So glad we stopped here for lunch.

  5. We ordered the pani puri, mixed pakora and the chicken punjabi curry. The pani puri was so delicious, punchy and more ish. The pakoras are also a standout. My favourite flavours were: eggplant, paneer and the chicken. Service was top notch. Staff were very friendly and gave us plenty of recommendations.
