Have been there many times. Very nice restaurant. The service is also very good. I like it as the disks are never too salty or spicy, which keeps the flavour of food. There is a large car park. It even provides drive-in takeaways. The only minor thing is the location, which is beside a small road. Probably it is more famous at local. Otherwise, one might only find it by searching on Google maps, like me. But once there, it never disappoints you.
First time here, only 20mins away and never heard of it. Really glad I did, beautiful tavern style interior with a cosy atmosphere. Beautiful food as well.
I recently dined at The Pheasant Inn in Hillsborough and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy meal. The menu offered a great selection of delicious dishes, and I was particularly impressed with the quality of the ingredients. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed.
My only minor critique would be the wait time for our food, which was a bit longer than expected. However, the taste and presentation of the dishes made it worth the wait. Overall, The Pheasant Inn is a charming spot with a delightful dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it to others!
Somewhat disappointing. Food quite good but the lamb dish in particular fell far short of it should have been. There was too much mash potato and enough gravy for 4 or 5 dishes: at least put it in a sauce boat? The lamb itself was tasty but not a great cut, with too much having to be trimmed off.
The menu was varied and the service good … it was just that the food was not quite up to scratch.
Fantastic Sunday dinner with our family. My son said he had the best crispy duck in his life, his whole 16 years;). The young lad taking orders told me the sugar pit cured bacon was sold out, but they could replace with roast pork belly; it was absolutely scrumptious. Nice staff, homey pub, wish I could have come here more often when I was younger.
