Fantastic food set in a classic style pub with plenty of beer and wine options. We can for the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint!
Medium rare sirloin, chicken breast cooked to perfection accompanied with the usual pile of roast goodies – Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, honey glazed carrots, savoy cabbage and a gallon of gravy.
Portion sizes are certainly not huge, so do keep that in mind if you’re hungry.
One of my favourites lately.
Do not expect a pub but a nice restaurant.
Good lighting (was around 10 percent high last Thursday), nice interior, good acoustics, no music -i guess-.
Great skin contacts as well as others.
Heard the chef is Northern European and menu is constantly changing.
Two courses for £36 😍 (on Sunday, not sure about midweek).
We fancied a roast and although it looked bland, everything was delicious and great portions. The sticky toffee pudding was close to beating Hawksmoor’s Sticky Toffee Pudding (sticky toffee pudding lover here).
Staff were all friendly and lovely, when we visited there were friends catching up and families together. Great chilled atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back.
Drinks were also 👍 the cocktails were well balanced and made. Great selection of wine too. 🍷
Had a fabulous meal here. Such an exciting menu! I was blown away by the creativity, my beef was cooked to perfection, and the Jaffa cake was sublime. Loved the free scones and jellies at the end, a really nice touch. A great hidden gem tucked away in Shoreditch. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!
I had been wanting to try a Sunday roast menu in London for awhile and came across this place on Time Out. I was blown away by the quality of all the dishes and hospitality of the staff. I was dining solo and they made me feel very comfortable and not rushed. The menu was a good value and sticky toffee pudding was to die for! Loved this place so much I came back the next day with friends for after-dinner drinks and dessert. Looking forward to my next opportunity to visit when I come back to London!
