I recently visited the Redcat Coffee branch and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and sitting area, which is much better than their other downtown location. They also boast a more extensive selection of coffee beans, adding to the appeal.
However, I have to point out a slight issue with the flat white I ordered. It was steamed to the point where the milk tasted burnt due to the excessive heat. Despite this small hiccup, I still had a pleasant experience overall. Would recommend, but be cautious with the temperature of the milk-based drinks!
First time here and definitely not my last. The staff provided great recommendations and great service. I had the Ham and Swiss Croissant & the Caramel Apple Spice Latte. They were both delicious! There were several seasonal drinks on the menu and a variety of breakfast items as well. I love the atmosphere as well with all the windows for the natural light to shine in and also the option of outdoor seating. This coffee shop was quite busy, but I understand why. I am adding The Red Cat to my list of favorite coffee shops in Birmingham. Great place to work or meet up with a friend!
My son took me to this coffee shop. We had mocha macchiato’s and they were delicious. The upbeat music is a bit loud but pretty common. There were lots of students posted up with laptops open. The staff was friendly. They offer some food options but we only have coffee. What I loved to see is the diversity of the population in this coffee shop. The only thing I didn’t really care for was all the smoke (from
the kitchen, I assume) in the shop.
Always a pleasure when I visit this place. The customer service is top notch and everyone is always pleasant and even with the crowds, they tend to keep it pretty clean. There is usually a wait, but it’s never a problem because of the atmosphere and I understand that they’re busy. My fav’s are the Gouda grits, the grit bowl and the avocado toast…YUM! I’m not a true coffee drinker, but their lattes are pretty good as well as their smoothies. Count me in to visit at least once per week. Keep up the outstanding work.
I always enjoy stopping into Red Cat on the weekends (especially during Farmers Market Saturdays) – it’s quite busy during that time, but service is always fast despite that, and the coffees and pastries are always well-prepared. Plenty of seating inside and outside combined to allow for a better chance to find one. Service is consistently polite. Def. a great morning spot for Joe lovers IMO.
