What an awesome find. We’d driven around a number of places looking for dinner and found The Roost. Very friendly hosts and felt relaxed straight away. They kindly offered to get our dinner earlier than they opened the restaurant and my my what a treat. The food is excellent and definitely worth visiting to experience.
My friend and I came here late evening after going to the beach for some dinner as it looked nice on Google. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to go, they were about to close the kitchen but very kindly offered to fit us in right before closing. The owners here are absolutely amazing, very friendly and welcoming and we had a lovely chat. I honestly couldn’t recommend anywhere more. The food was delicious, top standard all fresh and gorgeous presentation. I had the lamb duo and my friend had the steak, both recommended by a regular customer and cooked perfectly, but everything on the menu looked lovely. So glad we found this place and will definitely be returning for more 🙂
We ate at The Roost last night and it was amazing as always. I had Ribeye Steak and my husband had Fish and Chips both of which were presented well and tested amazing. Such a lovely pub and one we can now say is our local 😊❤️
Had a Sunday lunch here as it was highly recommended. I walked in just before 1 o’clock and managed to get a table. The decor is contemporary modern, very clean and has great natural light. The bar staff were pleasant, polite and welcoming. I ordered the leg of lamb lunch. It was served in under fifteen minutes, so good time.
The lamb was slightly overdone to my liking and the roasties ( two ) were hard and dry. The broccoli stems ( two ) were almost just stems! Cabbage and sliced carrot with what looked like a carrot purée completed the meal. The gravy was served in a jug, was rich, tasty and saved the day.
I had to ask for mint sauce as it was overlooked. No seasoning on the table which was an indication that it wasn’t needed. The barman walked around the restaurant asking if anyone would like another drink. That I really liked, customer service. I had the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream as a desert and that was divine.
Very stylish room really comfortable bed fantastic pillows & slept really well, coffee machine was a nice touch. Nice beer in bar with friendly owners. Only drawback no evening meals or breakfast, only a fews bits and bobs in communal fridge. We would stay again
