The Set Restaurant

1. An absolutely stunning experience and ranks as one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Superb food, superb service and great ambiance! Everything, every detail, was perfect. Every course was more intriguing, interesting and unique than the one before, with balanced flavours and a good range of wines, cocktails and low alcohol beverages too. We will absolutely be back for more!

2. Having a visit on 31 October 2024 for 14-Courses October Menu and a glass of red wine. The food is absolutely tasty containing the variety of umami flavors and techniques inspired from chefs’ experiences and takeaways. The atmosphere of the restaurant has a good vibe and staff is really kind. You won’t be disappointed by this great restaurant.

3. An unbelievable dining experience… 14 courses in an intimate setting with outstanding service and one of the best tasting menus we have ever experienced… it’s not cheap but it is an absolute treat for a special occasion… do the drink flight too as they really enhance the food…

4. An interesting experience a while back, almost 2 years ago now but having seen similar reviews from 6 months ago, I felt like sharing my experience too. My friend and I went here and had the drinks flight which didn’t hit the mark for us, but the food was pleasant and the service was good. Having Newcastle Brown Ale turn up with one dish was certainly new for us on a set menu, and perhaps it was our mistake for not reading more into the restaurant beforehand. A unique offering, just not what we were expecting. Still, worth trying if you are not as fussed by the drinks flight as The Set does offer something different in Brighton and Hove.

5. A unique place / it’s also the place for Rust Cafe ( which is the brunch / breakfast place )
   Both are run by different teams / chefs !
   The set is the set menu restaurant which is max for 14-16 people per evening ! The pricing is £90/- a head without drinks ..!
   The food is very good/ delicious and eclectic..! A mix of global cuisine dishes from British/ south American / Indian and Korean cuisine…! All very well made and delicious..!
   Service is attentive / pre drinks are in the garden … / then you move to main restaurant which looks rusty / unique interiors / quite cool actually…!
   We had chicken tikka masala as one of the courses / a beautiful bread toasted over grill / and had amazing noodles dish too ! The chocolate miso dessert was just awesome to finish the meal 🍽️
   Budget- Meal for 2 is easily £250 with some drinks !
