1. In town for work stopped to get dinner. I ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer and the shrimp and grits. The food was absolutely delicious the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I asked for their recommendations on the food. They definitely nailed the mark. I will eat here again before this trip is over.

2. Cannot recommend this food enough. We were in town for a work trip and lucked into finding the southern. The shrimp & grits were amazing, along with the other entrees we ordered. Banana pudding for dessert, it was a huge portion.

3. Excellent Southern food! We dined in on a Friday evening and had their Nashville Hot Chicken, Lemon Thyme Chicken and Cajun Angels. Everything was delicious.
   On the downside, at the time of my visit, the ladies’ restroom was in pretty bad shape, which was somewhat off-putting.

4. So, so good! We had an early flight into Birmingham, so you know we were up at the crack of the crack of dawn. Lol. We initially planned to get breakfast when we landed, but our flight was delayed, so we stopped here for Lunch HUNGRY and looking for some good southern food. The Southern Kitchen and Bar did not disappoint. We had the fried green tomatoes to start. They were firm with a crispy crunch, not watery like some can be. I had the chicken and dumplings and it tasted every bit of homemade. The biscuit was nice and crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Handsdown, it was one of the best biscuits I have had. My husband had the pork chop and said it was really good. His fried okra came as a whole fried okra, not sliced as is typical. He said it was the best fried okra he’s ever had. I only have a picture of my dumplings. We dug into everything too fast. If you are downtown in Birmingham, check this place out! Cheers from my happy tummy!

5. Large, airy, open space with modern southern cousine. Gumbo had a deep rich flavor and was packed with shrimp and meaty. Chicken and dumplings were standard comfort food. Fried pickles were ok.. needed to be a tiny bit thicker to taste the pickle through the breading. Service was 👌
